Melania Trump may not appreciate hearing from Stormy Daniels at this time in her life, but the porn star has said she truly feels “bad” for the former first lady and would testify at her divorce proceedings.
Following Donald Trump’s arraignment Tuesday on 34 felony counts related to hush-money payments and his alleged 2006 affair with Daniels, the adult-film star gave interviews in which she recounted her dealings with the former president, explained why she took money to keep quiet about her encounter with him in the weeks before the 2016 election and reflected on how the prosecution by the Manhattan district attorney’s office might be affecting his wife
In an interview with Good Morning Britain, Daniels said that Melania Trump’s “silence speaks volumes.”
Daniels is referring to the fact that Melania Trump did not accompany the former president to New York for his arraignment Tuesday and did not appear by his side when he gave a news conference at Mar-a-Lago that night to protest his innocence and to denounce the prosecution as politically motivated.
Melania Trump’s absence from the Mar-a-Lago press conference was “glaringly” apparent to anyone in the ballroom that night and to viewers around the country, the Daily Mail said. Notably, Trump also failed to thank his wife in his speech, even as he thanked other family members for their support.
When asked whether she feels sympathy for Melania, Daniels told Good Morning Britain: “Anything I say is going to be speculation. So I hesitate. I would assume that she doesn’t need me or anyone else to speak for her. Perhaps her not speaking is her speaking. Silence speaks volumes, if you will.”

Daniels continued: “If she’s in sort of a situation, that is how it appears, then yeah, I feel bad for her. She’s a mother.”
Daniels was referring to Melania Trump being the mother of Trump’s youngest child, 17-year-old Barron. Daniels said, “I would assume that just like me, as a mother, her main priority is her child.”
“The other side of that: We don’t know what is in their private life,” Daniels continued. “We don’t know what goes on behind the doors. We don’t know what kind of arrangement they had. I know some freaky people — we don’t know. We can sit here and talk about it all day long, but until she feels the need to speak for herself, then we just won’t know.”
But Daniels wanted to let Melania Trump know that she’s ready and willing to testify on the former model’s behalf if she decides that she wants out of the marriage.
“Call me if you need me to testify at your divorce proceedings,” Daniels said.
On Tuesday, the 76-year-old Trump became the first president in U.S. history to be arraigned on criminal charges. There’s been speculation that Melania Trump skipped the press conference at her husband’s Palm Beach, Florida residence and private club due to the origin story of the case against him.
The charges against Trump involve falsifying business records and stem from allegations he cheated on Melania with Daniels and with former Playboy model Karen McDougal in the early years of their marriage and shortly after she gave birth to Barron. Trump met up with both Daniels and McDougal at the same celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe in July 2006, reports have said.
Trump allegedly directed $130,000 be paid to Daniels and $150,000 be paid to McDougal, who claims that she and Trump had a 10-month affair. The prosecution’s statement of facts also detail a $30,000 payment to a Trump Tower doorman who claimed to have information that Trump fathered a child out of wedlock. All three of these people were allegedly paid to not tell their stories about Trump’s alleged infidelities as he was campaigning for president in 2015 and 2016.
A political source told People last week that Melania and Donald Trump were “shocked” upon hearing news that he had been indicted by a grand jury, believing that the indictment was weeks away or wouldn’t happen at all. Given that the case involves Trump’s alleged infidelities, Melania Trump was said to be upset and angry about the indictment — though not devastated, People reported.
A former close friend of Melania Trump believes she’s probably in “denial” about what’s happening with her husband.
“Melania lives in an ivory tower of denial,” Stephanie Winston Wolkoff told Page Six this week. Winston Wolkoff also was once Melania Trump’s unpaid White House aide, but the women had a falling out and Winston Wolkoff wrote a scathing account of her ex-friend in her 2020 book, “Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady.”
Winston Wolkoff told Page Six that Melania Trump has always known about her husband’s affairs. “She knows everything. But her silence is her dignity,” Winston Wolkoff said, adding that she doesn’t think Melania Trump will leave him.
“She will stand by her husband, as she always does. I don’t think Melania is humiliated by his affairs — but she is angry,” Winston Wolkoff told Page Six. “Still she isn’t leaving him. This is a transactional marriage, she knew what she was getting into when she married Donald. Her means of survival is to just act like it never happened.”
