Stranger Things fans react as Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink are snubbed from Emmy nominations

Stranger Things fans are shook at a major Emmys nomination snub for Volume One of Stranger Things 4.

If you haven’t seen the new season already, it’s brought all kinds of epic and darkness to a beloved show. But central to the first offering of the fourth season was Sadie Sink’s powerhouse performance – but alas, she has not been nominated for an Emmy for her efforts.

Millie Bobby Brown, who brought down the house as always with her rendition of Eleven, was also snubbed when it came to the nominations.

Stranger Things 4 received 13 nominations across other Emmy award categories, including (but not limited to) for top drama series, production design for a narrative period or fantasy programme and casting for a drama series.

The nominations also spanned make up and hair, picture editing, sound editing and mixing, visual effects and stunt co-ordination and performance.

Sadie’s performance in episode 4 of Volume One, “Dear Billy”, blew all of us away, and seemed a shoo in for awards galore. GLAMOUR’s official review dubbed it as “one of the most impactful and memorable scenes in the entire series so far”.

Fans have taken to Twitter to demand justice for our faves. One tweeted: “no emmy nomination for sadie sink, caleb mclaughlin, millie bobby brown and gaten matarazzo is my villain origin story”. Honestly, same.

Fans had predicted awards for Sadie after her vulnerable graveside performance in episode 4, reading a letter to her late brother as she believes she’s destined for death later that day.

We then see her flee from the Upside Down and Stranger Things 4 villain Vecna, along to a truly epic remix of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill. A rendition so good, in fact, it sent Bush’s legendary track to the top of streaming charts.
