An animal lover and the founder of ‘Street Cat Society’, Molly Grander residing in the United States has set a goal to help out all the stray cats in her area. A huge amount of her own earnings, amounting to around $24,000 was spent to help the stray felines around the city of Panama, US.
While speaking to a local news agency, Gardy said that everywhere she went there were cats around her and out of love & care for them she began feeding over 100 cats. She has a regimen that she follows seven days a week to ensure that all of the cats in ten different colonies are well cared for. She sweeps out all the feeding stations, pet and love on all the kittens, get all their food put together, get their dishes out, and pick up all the filthy ones.
Grady added “I get out there and I see these cats and I get so much kitty love. When I see them, they all start running to me and they’re all hungry and that’s what keeps me going.”
Grady claims that her daily motivation comes from her pets. After her efforts were acknowledged on social media, she is now receiving aid from the entire country. Donations of money and food has been of great help to this cause. She’s also gotten words of encouragement, which she hopes will spread throughout the community.
Grady further stated, “People in all of their neighbourhoods need to take responsibility and get their cats spayed and neutered; take care of the ones on their street.”
If you want to help out in your neighbourhood, Grady recommends providing a safe shelter and food. You must, however, mend them if you feed them. She is excited to continue working towards her aim of raising awareness for the community’s abandoned and neglected animals.
