Strictly Come Dancing stars Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington appeared to have confirmed their rumoured romance as they shared a steamy snog in public on Friday.

Rumours about the pair’s relationship had been rife in recent weeks after it was reported that the Strictly duo had ‘grown close’ on the ongoing tour of the BBC competition.

Earlier this month, Nadiya split from fiancé Matija Skarabot, who is father to her five-year-old daughter.

And it looks as though she’s moved on with Strictly professional Kai, 26, after the pair were pictured having a steamy smooch while snuggled up on a sofa during a coffee date at Malmaison Newcastle.

The dancers could be seen leaning into one another as they enjoyed a coffee date at the Northern hotel.

An onlooker told The Sun that the pair didn’t seem to mind who saw them share the intimate moment just ten days after both stars insisted that their was nothing romantic between them.

“Nadiya and Kai met away from the other dancers and celebrities, who were a mile up the road in the Travelodge,” the source told.

“She had bought Kai a coffee from Starbucks next door and they talked and cuddled before having a kiss.

“They didn’t seem to care who could see them. It’s clear they’re massively loved up. They didn’t want anyone gossiping. There’s already been so much speculation.”

The insider went on: “But since they have been so overt with their public displays of affection, they might as well have had a kiss in the Travelodge and saved themselves the journey.”

Nadiya and Kai’s hotel kiss comes after it was reported that the 32-year-old dancer and her Strictly co-star checked in together at the hotel during the Strictly tour.

An insider recently told The Sun that the pair were ‘low-key’ dating, but now they’re ‘very much together’.

“Kai was outside the hotel for about 15 minutes and waited until everyone else in the touring party had checked in – but Nadiya came along a short while later,” the source revealed.

“She handed him her bags, and together they went and checked into a room. It’s clear they’re a proper item,” they added.

Another source claimed that Kai helped Nadiya to smile again following her break-up.

“Nadiya and Kai have incredible chemistry, and a very strong friendship,” the insider said.

“Right from week one they ­connected, and are always laughing and messing about. He has cheered her up and made her smile again. They’re great mates, and lots of people backstage think they’d make a really cute ­couple when the time is right.”
