While it is devasting Succession is ending after four series, fans of the HBO drama will be treated to an epic final episode.

The HBO drama, created by Peep Show’s Jesse Armstrong, has followed Shiv (Sarah Snook), Kendall (Jeremy Strong) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) struggle to wrestle the power from their father Logan (Brian Cox) and take over his media empire.

The final season has been jam-packed with bombshells including Logan’s unexpected death, Shiv and Tom (Matthew Macfayden) ending their relationship before seemingly rekindling their romance and Shiv’s secret pregnancy.

But all good things must come to an end and Succession composer Nicholas Britell has teased fans will need to strap in for the ‘huge’ final episode.

Teasing season 4 episode 10, he told Variety: ‘It’s 90 minutes. It’s a huge episode — like a movie.’

In the meantime, fans have been sharing theories about the fate of Waystar Royco with some believing Tom will be the endgame villain and ultimately take control of the firm.

Others have speculated that Logan’s aide and special friend Kerry (Zoe Winters) is pregnant and will make a bid for her unborn child to become CEO of the media empire.

And the wildest theory of them all is that Logan isn’t actually dead and ‘will direct from the sidelines,’ as one Twitter user put it.

Jesse has previously described the decision to end Succession after season 4 was ‘difficult’ and even when the team started filming he wasn’t ‘100% sure’ that was it.

He told The New Yorker magazine: ‘I feel deeply conflicted. I quite enjoy this period when we’re editing – where the whole season is there – but we haven’t put it out yet. I like the interregnum.

‘And I also quite liked the period when my close collaborators and I knew that this was probably it, or this was it, but hadn’t had to face up to it in the world.’

Succession continues on Monday on Sky Atlantic and Now in the UK and on Sunday on HBO in the US.
