Sudha Murty says she was called ‘cattle-class’ when she wore salwar to airport: ‘Unko laga ki behenji hai’

Guneet Monga, Raveena Tandon and Sudha Murty will soon be seen on The Kapil Sharma Show. Ahead of the full episode that will be released this weekend, Sony shared a promo on social media where Sudha recalled how a few years ago, someone had called her ‘cattle-class’ at an airport. In the clip that was uploaded by the channel on social media, Sudha opened up about this specific incident at the airport where she was called ‘cattle-class’ by a fellow passenger for her attire. When Archana Puran Singh asked Sudha about the incident, Sudha said, “Chaar paanch saal pehle mein salwar kameez pehni thi aur business class ka ticket tha mere paas. Mein us queue mein khadi thi, toh unko laga ki salwaar kameez pehen liya toh didi he, behenji he… Aare cattle-class log he. Unko kya pata he economy ke logo ko business class mein ane.. Mein jaake unko puch liya, ki what is ‘cattle-class’?” (Around 4-5 years ago, I had worn a salwar kameez and was standing on the business class queue, so they thought I am poor and told, ‘Oh they are cattle-class people. How will they know what is business class? So I went up to them and asked ‘What is cattle-class?)

Sudha further added that someone’s class is not defined by how much money they own. She gave the examples of mathematician Manjul Bhargav, and Mother Teresa who were the real definition of the term ‘class’ because of their contributions. She also called Kapil Sharma the definition of class in the field of comedy, to which he expressed his gratitude by folding his hands. “Class maane apni kaam mein shraddha rakhe aur accha kaam karte he na woh class log hote he. Paise mein nahi he, ki economy class maane kam class,” she concluded. (Class is defined by how much respect you give to your work and how well you do it. It is not related to money.)

In the show, Sudha was accompanied by Guneet Monga and Raveena Tandon as guests. Earlier promos of the episode had given a glimpse of Sudha’s funny stories as she also recounted how she first met her husband Narayana Murthy and thought him to be a mere child.
