Embracing that summer heat! Every year, the cast of Summer House brings the drama and raises the temperature, and season 7 will be no different.
The Bravo series was renewed in May 2022 following an explosive season 6. One month later, news broke that three male stars would not be coming back — and fans were left reeling.
Luke Gulbranson, Andrea Denver and Alex Wach exited the show ahead of filming, a source close to production confirmed to Us Weekly on June 29.
The men were part of the season 6 cast alongside Lindsay Hubbard, Paige DeSorbo, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, Carl Radke, Danielle Olivera, Ciara Miller and Mya Allen. While Luke, who joined the cast during season 4 in 2020, won’t be back in the Hamptons, he will still be a part of Winter House season 2, which is currently airing.
The Minnesota native confirmed his departure via social media the same week, saying, “I’m not gonna be on Summer House this year. I’m actually extremely, extremely bummed I’m not gonna be able to spend the summer with them — breaks my heart, but I know they’ll have a good time and we’ll be in touch.”
Luke played coy when it can to his reason for not coming back to the show. “I can’t answer the why,” he told his Instagram fans.
Even with three fewer houseguests, viewers can expect a lot of tension and drama when the show returns, especially when it comes to Danielle and Ciara. The ladies turned heads last season when they got into a fight during Andrea’s Italian dinner.
The night ended with Ciara throwing a wine glass full of red liquid at Danielle, which hit her chest. “I blacked out not because of drinking, but because of the rage,” Danielle exclusively told Us in December 2021 of the incident. “It was just so insane. … I’ve never been in that situation before with someone who I thought we were OK — I thought we were good — and all of the sudden, you’re throwing wine. So, I saw red.”
The women talked it out during the show’s reunion special, which aired in May 2022, but Danielle later hinted that she and Ciara were not on good terms heading into the summer.
“I really don’t know where we stand,” she told E! News in June 2022, noting that she questioned her future on the show after the drama. “I found myself not wanting to do it after seeing last season, to be honest with you. Not to say that I’m not going to do it, but that’s how I felt.”
The entrepreneur added: “It’s getting to the point where I’m getting old enough to know who I want to be around, and not want to put myself in certain situations. And last summer was pretty unfortunate.”

Who’s Leaving?
Us confirmed in June 2022 that Luke, Andrea and Alex would not return for season 7. Luke later opened up about his departure via an Instagram Live, saying, “I’m extremely thankful for the last three years of being on the show. I’m gonna miss my friends a ton.”

Who Is Coming Back?

3 Newcomers Join
“I love all new people,” Paige told Entertainment Tonight in July 2022 after news broke that three former castmates would not be coming back. “I think that whenever any show gets a couple new cast members, it changes up the whole energy. It changes up the dynamic.”
The “Giggly Squad” podcast cohost added: “I’ve stayed in touch with whoever has been on our show or left our show, so I love new people. I just think it’s fun to get to know new people in the audience, see their personality and then how it meshes with a lot of us who have known each other now for five years. So I’m all for new people all the time.”
In October 2022, Lindsay told Us that she applauded casting for finding the three newcomers.
“I think the best casting decision happened this summer and you’re gonna meet these newbies and they are so fun, so wild. I love them. I love the new people. I even said, ‘Great job, casting,’” she said at BravoCon.

Who’s Hooking Up?
When season 6 ended, Lindsay was finishing up her hot Hubb summer and was single. Now, however, she is in a relationship with housemate Carl and the twosome live together in New York City and get engaged during production. Paige and Craig were casually dating when viewers last tuned into Summer House, but the twosome have since become official.
Kyle and Amanda, for their part, tied the knot at the end of last season, so fans will get a glimpse at their new life as a married couple. When asked what fans can expect to be different on season 7, Amanda declared in October 2022: “We don’t fight as much!”
“We don’t debate as to who gets the primary bedroom,” Kyle quipped.

Will Craig Conover Be Back?
“Probably. I shouldn’t, but yes, probably,” the Sewing Down South founder exclusively told Us in June 2022 when asked about his return to the series. “I don’t think I should do surveillance shows anymore, but I did a little better on the new Winter House.”
Craig added: “Paige and I are boyfriend girlfriend, and that’s a big part of her life. And so yeah, I’ll be around anytime you see Paige, you’re gonna see — we spend a decent amount of time together.”

Is Danielle Ready to Face Ciara?
Following their season 6 wine-toss drama, Danielle revealed to E! News in June 2022 that she’s unsure where the housemates stand. The tech guru explained that their reunion discussion “helped” things, but it didn’t completely fix things. “I do know that there are certain people that I want in my life that I trust and that I feel like I can be myself around and at this very moment in time, she’s just not one of them,” Danielle confessed.
The New Jersey native hinted that her future on the show is also up in the air after all the stress last season brought. “It’s hard to come back from, but who knows,” Danielle said. “There’s always another summer, there’s always more hope. I just think that all of these things have a shelf life and I’m not going to have this unrealistic thing that I’m always going to be on Bravo.”
After filming wrapped, Danielle told Us that the two women were able to smooth things over.
“Ciara and I, obviously, we got to know each other better and I literally stepped foot in the house, like, ‘I don’t know how this is gonna go, but I’m open to it.’ And I think she was the same. And then Mya allowed us to become close,” she told Us at BravoCon in October 2022. “I became even closer with Mya, closer with Amanda, closer with Paige. It really opened up a lot of the friendships.”

When Will It Premiere?
Bravo has not announced an official release date, but Summer House will return sometime after Winter House season 2 debuts in October 2022.

Will Austen Kroll Come Back?
“I feel like that might be a little bit awkward,” Paige told Entertainment Tonight in July 2022 when asked about the Southern Charm star. “And I feel like if he was [asked back], he would block all of us. If we said, ‘Hey, come for the weekend’ he’d be like, ‘Lose my number.'” (Austen made a lot of enemies when he came to the Hamptons during season 6 after a love triangle with Ciara and Lindsay.)

Paige and Ciara Tease Different Season 7
“A lot of things are different this year. We have new housemates. We have some of friendships that have ended, some friendships that have started. Some people have gotten closer, some people have drifted,” Paige told Us at BravoCon in October 2022.
After Ciara joked, “You thought that we loved our bed last summer? You have no idea how much we love it this summer,” Paige added: “Wait until you see the furniture rearranging we accomplished.”

Lindsay and Danielle’s Falling Out
After months of speculation, Us confirmed at BravoCon in October 2022 that Danielle and Lindsay had a falling out.
“I mean, listen, like [Danielle said] on the panel, [it’s] ‘unfortunate.’ I think there was a lot of stuff [that] happened this summer,” Lindsay told Us. “I can’t really get into too many of the details, but she betrayed me a lot, a lot. [There were] things that a best friend shouldn’t do to your best friend, and I’ll just leave it at that. … I’m always hopeful, like, I don’t lose friends easily. Like, all the best friends I have have been in my life for a very long time. I don’t give up friendship easily. I work through things when I need to, and I’m hopeful that it’s gonna be a big learning lesson.”
Danielle, meanwhile, told Us “all of it goes down” on the show, noting: “I think that friendships can always just take on different forms, and there’s something that — there’s a reason why I felt like a sister to Lindsay, but time will tell.”
While Kyle told Us that he found himself “in the middle” of the drama, Mya, for her part, told Us: “I would say Danielle had a lot of support this summer. I think that she was shown up for when she needed people to show up for her. And I think that we made sure of that.”

What Does the ‘Summer House’ Season 7 Trailer Reveal?
Bravo dropped the first footage of season 7 in January 2023, highlighting various feuds and alliances.
“Why do I need your blessing?” Lindsay asked Danielle in the clip, seemingly referring to her romance with Carl. “Maybe we won’t get engaged when it’s appropriate for you.”
Danielle retorted: “You’re getting so f—king defensive, it’s annoying.”
