Hell Train is a 1st-level Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) Compatible Weird Frontiers Adventure by John Watson and Rugby-Melee Games — with a fully-funded kickstarter!
The Weird Frontiers RPG is a DCC-compatible game that pays homage to the popular Weird West genre. As a player, you’ll take on the role of a unique class such as the Calavera, Luchador, Gunslinger, and Tommyknocker as your posse saddles up against dark horrors.
The adventure has already been written, thoroughly playtested, put in layout, and a physical proof has been ordered and reviewed. Hell Train takes the posse to East Texas where they find a town with a dark past and the restless dead. A locomotive in the Near (the spirit realm) is no longer transporting souls to their final rest. The posse must board the train to get it back on track. However, the passengers on this train aren’t human, and the destination is the very heart of madness!
Within the 16-page adventure, the posse will fight zombies and other monsters… but they won’t be able to survive with the skill of their shooting irons alone. They must travel beyond the realm of the living and face a variety of different trials including a gamble for their own souls. By the end, the posse will discover the town’s past isn’t as peaceful as it seems.
Four stretch goals have already been unlocked, including Pre-Gen 1st level characters, two new encounters, and a new character class — the Skin-Walker!
