Vibrant prints, all designed in-house, are at the heart of Tanya Taylor’s dopamine-inducing brand. And on Thursday evening, the multi-talented designer brought her label’s joyous spirit to life for an intimate dinner party at her beautiful home in East Hampton, New York.
Before gathering for dinner, guests sipped on Clase Azul tequila margaritas and mingled in the spacious side yard, where more than 20 of Taylor’s technicolored paintings were on display. “For the last three weeks, I’ve been painting with my family,” Taylor explained in her welcoming remarks. “We’re going to donate all the paintings to New York City public schools. We’ve been working with Publicolor for quite some time so that we can spread some really awesome color around New York City when we all go back next season.”
But before the summer comes to a close, Taylor and her guests, which included an all-star roster of smart, ambitious women, from Chelsea Clinton to Glamour’s Samantha Barry, took the time to relax and enjoy an alfresco candlelight dinner in the front yard of the designer’s estate. Also in attendance were Huma Abedin, Elizabeth Kurpis, Rickie de Sole, Natalie Massenet, and more. The three-course meal prepared by renowned chef Camilla Marcus of west~bourne featured entirely plant-based dishes served on elegant Misette dinnerware, including a decadent baby zucchini and blossom bucatini.
“So many women around this table mean a lot to me, Taylor went on to explain. “You guys have been so helpful. You make me feel confident and inspired.” It was clear to see that the feeling was mutual as guests enthusiastically chit-chatted during the intimate dinner.
