Hitting back at Union minister and Bihar’s BJP leader Giriraj Singh’s demand for a survey of madrasas in the state, the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) has demanded a survey of RSS offices in the state. Giriraj Singh had said that the survey of unrecognised madrasas should be conducted as it was being conducted by the Uttar Pradesh government.
Giriraj Singh said a survey of madrasas in Bihar is essential, especially in the bordering areas like Seemanchal, which shares a border with Bengal, Nepal and Bangladesh.
“Bihar shares a border with Nepal, Bangladesh and Bengal, and the state government should conduct surveys of madrasas and masjids in all these areas,” said the Union Minister. “Who are all living in madrasas and masjids, what are their activities, and whether their activities are against the country should be surveyed,” Giriraj added.
HAM spokesperson, Danish Rizwan, claimed that the RSS was attempting to destabilise the Bihar government and that they could also conduct explosions and blasts to incite riots.
“We demand Nitish Kumar to order a survey and probe all the offices of the RSS in Bihar as we believe that after the change of dispensation in the state, the RSS could trigger an explosion and promote terror activities in the state to destabilise the government,” said Danish.
