Actor RajKummar Rao made his Bollywood debut opposite late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Amit Sadh in the 2013 movie, Kai Po Che!: Brothers… For Life. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film was a critical as well as a commercial success. Based on the lives of three friends, the film featured RajKummar, SSR, and Amit Sadh in key roles.
During an interaction recently, RajKummar Rao, who is busy with the promotions of his movie Bheed, recalled the ‘very very fond memories’ with Sushant Singh Rajput, from the sets of Kai Po Che.

Speaking about the late actor, the Bheed actor shared a few anecdotes from the sets of Kai Po Che. He remembered the fun times that Sushant, Amit Sadh and he had on the movie sets. RajKummar mentioned that SSR, Amit and he wouldn’t stop laughing at all, on the film sets. He recalled how they would laugh out loud after shooting for every scene.
Recalling the times when he was filming for Kai Po Che, RajKummar told Humans of Bombay, “Kai Po Che was the film that put me on posters all over the city and of course, it was my film with Sushant, who we all miss dearly and I have very fond memories of that film.”
The Newton actor added, “Before we started filming, on the sets, and even during promotions, the three of us would just laugh out loud for anything. There’s one interview, I don’t know if you can find it somewhere, the whole interview all of us are just laughing. We would just give half a line’s answer and for five minutes we would just keep laughing. Very very fond memories of Kai Po Che.”
Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020. It was during an interview recently that politician Smriti Irani recalled her last chat with SSR. She had even mentioned about speaking with Amit Sadh as he was in a bad shape after the death of his Kai Po Che co-star Sushant Singh Rajput.
For the unversed, Kai Po Che also marked the Bollywood debut of RajKummar Rao and Amit Sadh.
