In the past months, major streaming platforms have strategically moved to add full-length DJ mixes to their platforms. 2021 culminated in celebratory fashion with Apple Music‘s New Year’s Eve mixes which featured Dancing Astronaut’s Artist Of The Year, ILLENIUM, along with Artists To Watch Fred again.., and LP Giobbi. Following suit, Amazon Music also offers listeners lossless audio with its own fresh curatorial batch from 13 showstopping players.
Amazon’s Choose Your New Year’s Eve DJ hosts mixes from a selection of dance music’s premier talents including Swedish House Mafia, RÜFÜS DU SOL, REZZ, TOKiMONSTA, and more. Also included in the series is a 67-minute long excursion from Above & Beyond, which features Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep records mixed by leading edge software Dolby Atmos. Above & Beyond commented in press release,
“We mined the catalogue for records that we really wanted to hear in this new format…The results are rather astounding.”
