Sweet Tooth season 2 has landed with some new faces joining the cast

Season two of Sweet Tooth has landed on Netflix today (April 27) with a total of eight episodes for audiences around the world to binge.

The post-apocalyptic show, based on the DC comic book series of the same name by Jeff Lemire, will be picking up from the first outing and this time around another wave the mysterious virus known as the Sick will be taking hold of people again.

Gus (played by Christian Convery) will still be captive and trying to save his friends and fellow Hybirds as he agrees to undergo barbaric experiments to find a cure.

There will be many twists and turns as Gus learns more about his past and his family, which could threaten his future.

Outside the Preserve, there’s a plot to break out the Hybrids as the forces of good take on General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and the Last Men.

Who is in the cast of Sweet Tooth season 2?

Gus – Christian Convery

Child star Christian Convery takes the lead as Hybrid Gus and has previously starred in the film Pup Academy, William, Playing with Fire, The Tiger Rising and Cocaine Bear.

General Abbot – Neil Sandilands

Neil Sandilands portrays antagonist General Abbot, who is holding Hybrids captive, with the actor also known for The Flash, Desert Rose, News of the World and Dam.

Dr. Aditya Singh – Adeel Akhtar

Adeel Akhtar plays Dr. Aditya Singh, who himself is a prisoner to General Abbot and is seeking a cure for the Sick.

Akhtar has had roles in Murdered By My Father, Utopia, Enola Holme, Four Lions, The Big Sick, Killing Eve and Sherwood.

Rani – Aliza Vellani

Aliza Vellani portrays Dr Singh’s wife Rani, who is dying from the Sick, with the actress previously featuring in Marvel Super Hero Adventures, The X-Files, Mech-X4 and Amazon Prime Video’s Upload.

Birdie – Amy Seimetz

Gus’ mother Birdie is played by Amy Seimetz, who counts credits in The Girlfriend Experience, Sun Don’t Shine, Pet Sematary, The Comey Rule and the Get Shorty TV series.

Tommy Jepperd – Nonso Anozie

Nonso Anozie is Tommy Jepperd, who will be trying to rescue the Hybrids, with the star most recognisable for his performances in Game of Thrones, Sir Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella, Ted Lasso, The Mandalorian and Zoo.

Aimee Eden – Dania Ramirez

Dania Ramirez appears as Aimee Eden and has previously featured in X-Men: The Last Stand, Heroes, American Reunion, Once Upon a Time and Alert.

Narrator – James Brolin

Lending his voice to Sweet Tooth as the narrator is Hollywood star John Brolin, who has also had roles in Traffic, Life in Pieces, Lightyear, Royal Hearts and Westworld.

Richard – Will Forte

Will Forte stars as Richard with the actor also appearing in HouseBroken, The Great North, Nebraska and MacGruber.

Other cast members include Yonas Kibreab as Finn Fox, Naledi Murray as Wendy, Harvey Gui as Max Skunk, Christopher Sean Cooper Jr. as Teddy Turtle, Ravi Narayan as Earl and Apii Pukeiti as Otto Porcupine.
