Sydney Sweeney just joined TikTok’s coastal cowgirl trend

Sydney Sweeney is no stranger to trends. In 2022, she tried out the sheer, crop tops, and monochrome trends to further build an impressive style portfolio. Now, Sydney is hopping onto another viral look: The coastal cowgirl aesthetic.

While the coastal cowgirl trend started on TikTok, it has had quite the influence. The style typically entails Western-inspired accessories like boots and hats combined with casual and breezy attire like lace dresses, tiered skirts, and of course, denim. (Think Kacey Musgraves, Kendall Jenner, and Miley Cyrus.) The #CoastalCowgirl tag has gained over 63 million views on the app and is quickly taking over the fashion world, too, as exemplified by Sydney Sweeney herself.

The Euphoria actor wore a quintessential coastal cowgirl look for a night out in California celebrating her collab with Frankies Bikinis. She paired the Bardot Eyelet Top and Bardot Eyelet Mini Skirt from the collab with a pair of cowboy boots. The monochromatic look was all bright white except for a small cognac shoulder bag that matched the soles of the boots. For jewellery, Sydney kept it simple with silver layered necklaces, including a choker that spelled out her name, and matching rings. She also wore a pair of hoop earrings with white flowers dangling from them.

As for beauty, Sydney kept to the coastal cowgirl aesthetic with loose curls and face-framing curtain bangs. She kept the makeup minimalistic with a smoked-out eyeshadow wing, a subtle blush, and a soft peachy lip. A natural manicure sealed the deal, giving Sydney that effortlessly chic look that the trend embodies.
