Sydney Sweeney nailed the balletcore trend in a pink tutu and matching tights

Sydney Sweeney looked like a prima ballerina at the 2022 LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles. Dressed by her longtime stylist Molly Dickson, the White Lotus starlet graced the carpet in a pastel pink Giambattista Valli gown bedecked in voluminous peonies. Pulled from Italian fashion house’s fall couture collection, the gown finishes with a short ruffled skirt reminiscent of a tutu. 

The look was made infinitely more en pointe with the addition of opaque blush pink tights and a sleek, side-swept dancer’s bun courtesy of hairstylist Glen Coco Oropeza. Sydney Sweeney wore seven-inch silver peep-toe platform shoes to the formal event, but in a picture shared via Instagram, she can be seen posing passé en relevé in a pair of ballet slippers. Ballet flats, of course, are one of the season’s biggest trends. 

Other style standouts from the annual fundraiser included Olivia Wilde in Gucci, featuring an unforgettable pair of fire engine red latex gloves. Kendall Jenner, meanwhile, opted for a sheer, long-sleeved bodysuit and slinky low-rise silver skirt courtesy of Paris fashion brand Burc Akyol.
