Syrian National Earthquake Center registers eight weak tremors over past 24 hours

DAMASCUS,18th June, 2023 (WAM) – The National Earthquake Center (NEC) announced Sunday reporting eight weak tremors over the past 24 hours.

The Center said in a statement, carried by Syrian News Agency (SANA), that the Stations of National Seismological Monitoring Network registered three tremors in Turkiye with a magnitude ranging between 2.9 and 3.7 on the Richter Scale, in addition to three quakes in Liwa Iskenderun ranging between 1.6 and 2.5.

The NEC added that the stations recorded a 3.0 magnitude quake northwest of Hama, a quake northwest of Lattakia measuring 1.5 on the Richter Scale.
