TAG Heuer Toasts Its Win At The Monaco Grand Prix With Three New Monaco Chronograph Models

Fresh off its victory at the F1 Monaco Grand Prix last weekend with partner Team Oracle Red Bull Racing, TAG Heuer is introducing three new editions of its iconic Monaco chronograph, all with skeleton dials – a first for the Monaco collection. There are three different dial options: original blue, racing red and turquoise, all with titanium cases. The original blue dial is inspired by the first edition of the TAG Heuer Monaco in 1969. The color scheme is blue and red, with red hands and blue markers, subdials and indexes, which are white lacquered and coated with blue Super-LumiNova. The blue is creatively applied to the column wheel and rotor on the caseback side.

The racing red version is a nod to the racing heritage of the Monaco, with the color red referencing the racing sparks made on the tracks. On this one, the column wheel and rotor on the back are colored red. The turquoise piece is an avant-garde take on the Monaco design, with turquoise applied to the subdial outlines and indexes. It also references the Mediterranean off the coast of the Principality of Monaco. The column wheel and rotor are also turquoise. The titanium case is black DLC coated.

All contain the in-house movement caliber Heuer 02, a column wheel chronograph with an 80-hour power reserve. Hands and indexes are treated with Super-LumiNova. They come with a bi-material strap, thoughtfully made of rubber and leather, in black or blue.

Several of TAG Heuer’s friends and VIPs were present at the race over the weekend, including ambassador Wi Ha Jun, tennis legend Maria Sharapova, actors Tom Holland and Louis Patridge and model Sara Sampaio. French rapper Hatik and boxer Conor McGregor. Also present were Oracle Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen – who crossed the finish line in first place – Sergio Perez and Daniel Ricciardo.
