Taiko no Tatsujin is out today on Xbox Game Pass – but PC version hit with launch issues

Taiko no Tatsujin The Drum Master has launched on Xbox Game Pass today. The long running and beloved Japanese arcade series, which will appeal to rhythm action game lovers, has arrived on Xbox Game Pass on Day One. Unfortunately though, PC gamers have been reporting they’re not able to load the game, being hit with an error at the login screen which they can’t get past.

The issue has been acknowledged by the Bandai Namco Twitter account who said a fix is being investigated.

The @BandaiNamcoEU Twitter posted: “We are aware of PC login issues for TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: THE DRUM MASTER.

“We are currently looking into a fix, and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding.”

For anyone not in the know, Taiko no Tatsujin is a brilliant rhythm action game where you hit buttons in time to the music of catchy Jpop tunes, anime theme songs and much more.

In the arcades you have a huge taiko controller that you have to bang along to the music, while the PS4 and Nintendo Switch have a smaller replica controller.

So far, a drum controller for the Xbox Series X, S and Xbox One hasn’t been announced yet.
