Tailgate Fest, a country music event that has fans partying in their own vehicles as the acts perform, is back for the third year and will feature sets by Jake Owen, Billy Currington, Eli Young Band, Chris Janson, Lanco, Blanco Brown, Chase Bryant, Matt Stell, Nate Smith, Ashland Craft and DJ Bad Ash.
The two-day fest will take place Aug. 13-14 in the event’s new venue, Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. Tickets start at $89 and various camping, pit and tailgate bundles are available now at latailgatefest.com.
Aside from the music, fans can keep cool and splash around in the Boots and Bikinis stage-side pool, enjoy unplugged fireside performances, cornhole tournaments, a Jacked Up Truck competition, two-step and line dancing and the Best In Show Tailgate Challenge.
The inaugural Tailgate Fest was a single-day event that took place in the Forum parking lot in Inglewood in 2018 with Toby Keith, Joe Nichols, Nelly, Jana Kramer, Randy Houser and more. In 2019, it moved to Leal Ranch in Eastvale, expanded to a two-day festival with Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, Clint Black, Lindsay Ell, Big Boi, Brett Eldredge and more. The festival had already announced that it would move into its new home at Auto Club Speedway in 2020 when it revealed its line-up topped by Dierks Bentley and Lynyrd Skynyrd. That event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
