Take a Tour of Jenna Lyons’s Fashion-Filled SoHo Apartment

There’s much to be envious of in Jenna Lyons’s apartment, from her jaw-dropping shoe collection to her original Cy Twombly. For the newly minted Housewife (Lyons is among the cast of the reboot of The Real Housewives of New York City, which premiered earlier this month) and founder and CEO of LoveSeen, many of her most prized possessions carry a deep sentimental value—including the SoHo home she displays them in. “I think this entire apartment was the first time in my life that I got to do exactly what I wanted,” she says. “I’d always had some restrictions.” No longer held back by career or personal constraints, Lyons says, “I kind of went for it.”

In the latest “Objects of Affection,” Lyons takes Vogue on a tour of some of her most dear belongings, including a Braille issue of the September 1978 Playboy. While the storied magazine might be known best for its visuals, Lyons highlights its great literary contributions. “They had people like Truman Capote writing for Playboy, which I think is pretty interesting,” she says. 

A fan of recycling outfits, the J. Crew alum shows off a delicate hand-beaded, feathered gown, which she wore to her first Met Gala in 2011, and brought out of retirement for Solange Knowles’s wedding in 2014. “A lot of people have asked me if they can buy it or rent it for their wedding, to which I always say no,” she says. “It’s probably one of my most prized possessions and I might bury myself in it.” 

Ever the proud mother, Lyons’s list wouldn’t be complete without an artwork by her son Beckett. The sculpture, which Beckett—now a teenager—created at just four years old, features a quarter, a lightbulb, staples, a toothbrush holder, and a screw. “I don’t know why I love it so much, but I do,” Lyons says, beaming. “It’s come with me through every move to every apartment.” Lyons also points out a polaroid taken by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue in 2005. “I had just found out that I was pregnant with Beckett,” she adds.
