There will be high kicks and tassels galore at the Astor Theatre this month.
Seven State finalists will be throwing their sparkles into the ring to claim the title of Mx Burlesque WA 2023.
They include tassel-twirling magician Kitty Litteur from Leederville, Fremantle’s avant-garde drag artist Liberty Genre and Minxy Milva from Nollamara.
The competition will have three categories: red carpet parade, striptease, and unique.
The winner will receive the Mx/Mr/Miss Burlesque WA title and more than $1000 in cash and sponsored prizes, as well as a crown and sash.
Mx Burlesque WA producer Melanie Piantoni expects it to be an impressive show.
“The finalists are so unique in their own style; the WA competition will feature some seriously sexy acts, while others bring comedy to the stage and others skill and their own interpretation of burlesque,” she said.
Mx Burlesque WA is an 18+ event and will be at the Astor Theatre in Mt Lawley on Saturday, June 24.
