Swift swept the 2022 American Music Awards, racking up six wins at the event and looking every bit the golden girl in a bedazzled gold disco jumpsuit with long, free-flowing waves cascading down her back. The star wore her dark blonde bangs swept to one side and curled away from her face in a ’50s-inspired flip and paired the retro styling with fluffy curls that would be right at home on the dance floor at Studio 54.
We love that the curls weren’t shellacked down with hairspray or product like the classic Veronica Lake Old Hollywood waves so often worn by celebs on the red carpet, but they instead looked touchable and modern with a hint of ’70s glam. Swift often wears her hair straight or in more subtle waves, so it’s fun to see her experimenting with curly styles similar to those she wore in her early days.
