Taylor Swift snubs Canada on international leg of Eras Tour

Swifties are wondering if Taylor Swift needs help finding Canada on a map.

The Anti Hero pop star has left Canada off the newly announced dates for her Eras Tour next year and our homegrown fans are steaming mad.

Currently playing to stadiums stateside, Swift is set to hit Mexico and parts of South America later this year. Then in February, she’ll continue an international leg with stops in Japan, Singapore, Australia and many cities in Europe.

“EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY … I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!” Swift, 33, wrote on Instagram.

All told, 38 overseas dates were announced on Tuesday — extending well into summer 2024.

But the absence of Canadian cities on her itinerary didn’t sit well with Canuck Swifties, who thus far have had to travel to the U.S. to see the Grammy winner’s current shows.

“Canada doesn’t exist in the Taylor Swift universe,” one fan griped, with another adding, “Taylor Swift not coming to Canada for the Eras Tour is my villain origin story.”

“Taylor Swift just announced international dates and it’s literally the whole world minus Canada,” a third person wrote.

One Swiftie turned to Justin Trudeau asking the prime minister, “What is your plan for getting Taylor Swift to come to Canada?”

Earlier this month, Fortune magazine reported that the Eras Tour has been a huge boost for cities it plays in, adding that her shows could pump an upwards of $4.6 billion in consumer spending across America this year. Fans have spent more than $1,300 on average for tickets, travel and merchandise, according to a new survey from research company QuestionPro.
