‘Tear duct liner’ is the cute makeup update we keep spotting everywhere

0

We love subtle ways of keeping our makeup fresh, whether that’s the adorable Douyin blush technique, cute lip combos, or the tear duct liner that we keep spotting cropping up on some of our favourite celebs.

Following on from the siren eyes trend which emphasises a sultry, elongated eye shape, tear duct liner is having a moment. Like its name suggests, liner is concentrated into a point right in the inner eye corner, along the tear duct to create more of a feline effect.

Of course, lining right up to the tear duct is not exactly new, but this trend takes the look a step further, accentuating the accent with stand out colours, or a disconnected statement slash, or even just extending it out a little further for maximum impact.

Actress Hailee Steinfeld jumped on the trend this week with a disconnected scarlet tear duct liner that was mirrored on the outer wing, created by her makeup artist, Carolina Gonzalez. The rest of her makeup was kept simple and minimal to let the dinky accent pop. And, she co-ordinated the whole look with a matching scarlet outfit and a flirty Pammy updo.
