Tecno Phantom X2, Phantom X2 Pro launched: price, specifications

Tecno confirmed the standard Phantom X2 will launch in India before the end of this month, while the Phantom X2 Pro will be launched early next year, most probably by January.

Tecno Phantom X2 is priced at SAR 2699 (approx Rs 59,200) for the 8GB + 256GB model, while the Phantom X2 Pro costs SAR 3,499 (around Rs 76,700) for the 12GB + 256GB model in Saudi Arabia. We will know the Indian prices of the phones when they launch in the country.

The Tecno Phantom X2 and X2 Pro sport a 6.8-inch Full-HD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, Corning Gorilla Victus protection, 93.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, P3 Wide Colour Gamut, 8+2Bit display, CNC middle frame, Military Grade Anti-Glare Glass, and TUV SUD 36-month Display Fluency.

The phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G SoC paired with Mali-G710 MC10 GPU and Hyper Engine 5.0. The Phantom X2 packs 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. While the X2 Pro has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There’s an additional 5GB extendable RAM for better multitasking.

The phones run on Android 12-based HiOS 12.0 skin out of the box. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The Phantom X2 and X2 Pro are equipped with a vapour chamber cooling system and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The Tecno Phantom X2 and X2 Pro pack a 5160mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

Moving to optics, the Tecno Phantom X2 has a triple camera setup at the back, including a 64MP (RGBW) primary camera with OIS, f/1.6 aperture, LED flash, 7th Gen IMAGIQ 790 ISP, and 5th Gen AI Processor APU 590. The primary sensor is paired with a 13MP secondary lens and a 2MP sensor.

On the other hand, the Phantom X2 Pro has a 50MP primary sensor with a 7P lens, 7th Gen IMAGIQ 790 ISP, 5th Gen AI Processor APU 590, and quad flashlight, a 50MP world’s first retractable portrait lens and a 13MP lens. The phones ship with a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
