Tekken 8 director tells fan to ‘sit the hell down’ over PC complaints

Katushiro Harada’s clapback to a fan complaint over Tekken 8 was so strong that it made said fan delete their comments.

Sometimes, when irate fans blast game companies or developers on social media over unpopular decisions, they’ll be met with messages about how the companies in question are listening and taking their passionate feedback into consideration.

This is most definitely not the case with Tekken series producer and Tekken 8 director Katsuhiro Harada, who’s clearly unafraid to fight back against fans who get a bit too aggressive with their complaints.

Just recently, someone apparently contacted him over Twitter to complain about Tekken 8’s apparent use of Denuvo (an unpopular DRM and anti-cheat system) for the PC version, to which Harada told them to ‘stop your tedious allergic reactions to every single thing.’

Harada denies having any plans to incorporate Denuvo, which was enough for the fan to delete their comments.

‘I’ve no plans to introduce Denuvo or anything else in Tekken 8, so stop your tedious allergic reactions to every single thing and sit quietly (sit the hell down),’ Harada wrote. Which very much reads like someone who’s sick and tired of hearing fans moan at him for one reason or another.

This is hardly the first time Harada has got snappy over Tekken 8. Back in May, Bandai Namco Europe accidentally leaked one of the game’s characters by posting their trailer on Twitter too early.

Harada publicly tweeted, ‘What the xxxx Bandai Namco Europe. That’s why I warned you years ago not to post on a timer,’ which he soon deleted.

Bandai Namco Europe would later repeat that mistake during Evo 2023 by posting renders for Raven and Azuceda on Twitter before their trailers went live, though Harada didn’t comment on that leak.

However, some fans clearly don’t mind Harada’s more blunt and ‘honest’ approach to fan complaints and he most of the responses to his outburst were positive.
