The great Scottie Barnes/Thad Young feud was good for a few minutes of social media intrigue, but it quickly lost its legs.
The second-year Raptor and the 16-year veteran Young were caught in a bit of a heated exchange by cameras as the team got some shots up in advance of the second half in Sunday’s win over Portland.

Both downplayed the exchange immediately afterward.

“We just had a disagreement,” Young said post game. “He actually told me he loved me. I told him I love him back. You know, no different than brothers going back and forth. Especially when we’re both passionate about the game. I think that’s one of the biggest things. We’re both passionate about what we’re doing, our craft and making sure that we get ourselves a win.”

Head coach Nick Nurse was not aware of the situation when asked about it post game, but addressed both players involved ahead of practice Monday morning.
“I spoke to both of them today, and they were like barely anything happened,” Nurse said. “So, we’ll just move on from there.”
Social media will have to find something else to which it can overreact.
