Tennis superstar Djokovic no stranger to controversy

Novak Djokovic makes news for being one of the best tennis players ever, but he also gets a lot of attention for his off-the-court antics.

Djokovic is a proud anti-vaxxer, and he’s currently banned from entering Australia to try to win the Australian Open again. That’s why his father is protesting in Australia, along with supporters.

Djokovic has spoken out against vaccinations, claimed he could turn polluted water into drinkable water, hugged trees and put bread on his stomach to determine a wheat allergy, and has been accused of cheating on his wife and girlfriends.

“Personally I am opposed to vaccination and I wouldn’t want to be forced by someone to take a vaccine in order to be able to travel,” Djokovic has said.

“But if it becomes compulsory, what will happen? I will have to make a decision. I have my own thoughts about the matter and whether those thoughts will change at some point, I don’t know.”

In 2019, reports said Djokovic had cheated on his wife Jelena, his childhood sweetheart and wife since 2014. She didn’t attend his matches that year.

There has been speculation about more than friends relationships with a number of female friends of Djokovic’s too, such as Serbian DJ DJ Lady Lee.

Djokovic’s wife Jelena has also gotten into trouble for social media posts claiming COVID was caused by 5G technology.

Djokovic also got into trouble for yelling at a ball girl in Wimbledon in 2015 and for hitting a line judge in the throat with a ball.
