NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw is facing heat after making a comment about suicide while referring to Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner on Fox NFL Sunday.
While discussing the game between the Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks, Bradshaw interjected his views as analyst Sean Payton spoke, stating he would like to see Conner run the ball more frequently.

“Their mentality is throw, throw, throw, throw,” said Bradshaw. “I think if this kid ran five or six runs in a row, I think he’d commit suicide or something.”

Bradshaw’s on-air colleagues were quick to shut down the macabre comment.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. That’s a little dark for this audience,” Howie Long said, as reported by the New York Post.
“That’s a little dark for all of us,” retorted Curt Menefee, as Michael Strahan just looked into the camera with a quizzical looked on his face.

Unfazed, Bradshaw continued to talk, stating Arizona, “Just don’t seem to care anything about the running game.”
People were quick to turn to social media to voice their disapproval for Bradshaw’s dark comments.
“He should be fired,” one tweeted.
“Bradshaw has seen better days. Fox needs to do the right thing and prevent this old man from continually embarrassing himself,” another wrote.
“Terry Bradshaw making the f***ing suicidal joke was not it,” another chimed.
Neither Fox Sports nor Bradshaw have publicly addressed the comments.
