Tesco halves price of teatime favourites for Clubcard holders

Tea and cake are stapled kitchen cupboard ingredients, whether they’re enjoyed together or separately. While the cost of both has increased as food prices soar, Tesco Clubcard customers can buy their favourite brands for half the price as part of an exclusive deal. And there are savings to be made on everything from Twinings teabags to their Finest All Butter Scones.

There’s nothing quite like a hot cup of tea with a slice of cake or sweet biscuits, whether it’s in the afternoon or as a post-dinner treat.

And for Tesco customers looking forward to celebrating King Charles III’s Coronation with a full cream tea, today is the perfect time to stock up on their favourite brands.

As part of National Tea Day (Friday, April 21), the retailer has slashed prices across a range of its branded and own-label “Tesco Finest” products.

Clubcard holders can save up to 50 percent on teabags, scones, biscuits, cakes, and even savoury snacks like bags of Kettle chips.

National Tea Day Clubcard deals

Shoppers can save on a range of Twinings tea bags, including both English Breakfast and Earl Grey blends.

A pack of 80 Twinings English Breakfast Tea bags have been reduced to just £2.40, down from £4.80.

Earl Grey lovers can save 38 percent on their floral blend, with a pack of 80 Twinings Earl Grey tea bags now just £3.00, down from £4.80.

With full flavour but no caffeine, Twinings Everyday Decaffeinated has also been reduced to £3.00, previously £4.80 for a pack of 80, and their fruity Superblends Sleep tea bags are now £1.75, down from £3.50 for a pack of 20.

Other deals include up to 46 percent off savoury treats, including 130g bags of Kettle chips in various flavours for £1.25 down from £2.35.

Pringles are also cheaper for Clubcard holders, with 200g tubes of their Original flavour, Sour Cream & Onion, Salt and Vinegar now £1.80 down from £2.

And for non-tea drinkers, the supermarket giant is offering a three-for-£3 deal on a range of large soft drinks.

Shoppers can grab any combination of 1.25-litre bottles of Diet Coca-Cola and Coke Zero, or 1.5 litre bottles of Oasis Citrus Punch or Summer Fruit for just £3.
