Thank God Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn Film Lags Behind Ram Setu – See Latest

Thank God Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn Film Lags Behind Ram Setu – See Latest

The makers of the family comedy “Thank God” announced on Wednesday that the film’s first day at the domestic box office brought in almost ₹8.1 crores (October 26). The film, which stars Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh, and Ajay Devgn, hit theatres on Tuesday.

Veteran filmmaker Indra Kumar, known for the “Dhamaal” and “Masti” movie series, is the director of “Thank God.” This column made a prediction that Thank God would experience an opening in the ₹10–12 crore range. This didn’t quite happen, though, as the drama directed by Indra Kumar brought in ₹8.10 crores on Tuesday.

These ratings are actually respectable enough when one takes into account that the movie is more of a drama than a comedy. The start is reasonable in that regard because Ajay Devgn often releases his comedies around Diwali (his Golmaal Again is the biggest over the holiday season with a double century haul). Thank God box office collection day 2 numbers are here.

Thank God Box Office Collection Day 2

Day 1 [1st Tues] Oct 25 ₹8.1 Cr
Day 2 [1st Wed] Oct 26 ₹7.00 Cr
Total   ₹15.1 Cr

The competition from Ram Setu, Black Adam, and Kantara [Hindi] is sure to have an impact on the film’s box office performance. However, Thank God should finally be able to bring in some respectable numbers given that there won’t be a major release on the upcoming Friday.
