For a blend of genres, check out Shotgun Wedding, which combines romance, comedy, and action. Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel play a couple hosting a destination wedding, but just as they’re about to walk down the aisle, their entire wedding party is held hostage by pirates. White Lotus fans will be glad to hear Jennifer Coolidge is in attendance, too.

Channing Tatum returns as Magic Mike in Magic Mike’s Last Dance—and this time, he’s taking his talents overseas. Mike finds romance with a new character played by Salma Hayek, and they produce a show in London. “People are numb, disconnected. We’re going to wake them up with a wave of passion they’ve never felt before!” she says in the trailer. Sounds like a plan!

Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher make their rom-com returns in Your Place or Mine. The two play longtime friends who switch homes for a week and realize they might have a love connection rather than just a friend connection.

Love Again has what other romantic dramedies do not: Celine Dion playing herself! The movie also stars Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan as Mira and Rob, who connect after he is assigned her late fiancé’s old cell phone number. (So, a dark start to this one….) Rob, a journalist working on a profile of Celine Dion, then gets the singer to help him win over Mira.

The live-action Disney adaptations continue with The Little Mermaid! Halle Bailey stars as Ariel with her Prince Eric played by Jonah Hauer-King. The cast also includes Melissa McCarthy as Ursula and Javier Bardem as King Triton.
Asteroid City
In limited theaters June 16, followed by a wide release on June 23
Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City stars basically everyone who has ever been in a Wes Anderson movie…plus more. Tom Hanks, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody, Margot Robbie, Steve Carell, and Scarlett Johansson are just a few of the actors in this film about a 1955 Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention, which features both romance and “world-changing events”.
Challengers
In theaters August 11
Tennis is the backdrop for the romance in the comedy-drama Challengers. Zendaya plays Tashi, a tennis player-turned-coach who now focuses on the career of her husband Art, played by Mike Faist. Things get messy when Art faces off against his childhood friend and Tashi’s ex, Patrick, played by Josh O’Connor.
