THIS breathtaking beach with white sand and stunning scenery is only an hour from Glasgow
Traigh Mhor – which translates as big beach – is located on the beautiful Isle of Bara.
The gorgeous spot is at the northern end of the Outer Hebridean paradise.
And it has a unique feature as it’s the only place in the world where small planes land on the jaw-dropping seaside.
The tides dictate the regular plane landings, with a windsock on the sandy runway.
Meanwhile, seaside towns across the UK are a favourite with overseas tourists and staycationers alike.

And in Scotland we have our fair share of beautiful bays.
Now consumer watchdogs Which? has revealed the best in the country after surveying 3,000 holiday-makers on everything from the quality of their beaches to the calibre of restaurants.
And coming out on top in Scotland is St Andrews.
The Fife university town gained top marks for its stunning expansive sandy beach, its food and drink offering and tourist attractions as well as shopping.
It also ranked highly for its scenery and got an overall score of 83 per cent.
The town, which is a haven for golfers and is where Prince William studied, is packed full of great things for visitors including a top class aquarium and a historic castle.
