Despite the blistering heat, stars didn’t skimp on the style factor this week (though it’s tempting to wear as little as possible). On the red carpets, A-listers fused both classic and contemporary silhouettes—making for ensembles that felt new but familiar.
There were tons of movie premieres these past few days, and Hollywood’s leading ladies dressed to the nines. At a screening for The Gray Man in London, Ana de Armas wore Louis Vuitton’s column gown. It felt extremely modern—and almost like armor—in a sleek metallic silver. At the premiere of Nope in Hollywood, Keke Palmer also traded a classic gown in favor of a Marc Jacobs corset and floor-length skirt, punctuated by leather opera gloves. Equally fun was Zazie Beetz’s sequined mini teal Loewe dress for Bullet Train’s Berlin showing.
Film premieres aside, a handful of stars shone for their more casual party and dinner outings this week. In New York, Meghan Markle proved she’s a master of timeless style in Gabriela Hearst’s discrete black and white, off-the-shoulder jumpsuit. In London, model Gigi Hadid embraced a more high-octane look for a Vogue x Self Portrait event. She wore the label’s green, crystal-covered long sleeve dress with matching accessories (including an itty-bitty bag). Who doesn’t love a summer sequin?
