The Blacklist’s Tom Keen fell victim to glaring continuity blunder

Season 10 of the lengthy NBC TV series The Blacklist is currently in the making as fans point out mistakes from past episodes. The error in question took place when Tom Keen (played by Ryan Eggold) engages in a fight whilst baby Agnus is left unprotected. Throughout the dispute, the child can be seen with and without a blanket between camera jumps.

Tom Keen got introduced in season two, episode sixteenth of The Blacklist, back in 2013.

The character undertook an undercover operation in Dresden, Germany, in hopes of finding a white supremacist drug cartel known as Die Entrechteten.

Tom, disguised as Christof Mannheim, drastically changed his appearance to look the part by getting Neo-Nazi tattoos and shaving his head.

Throughout seasons two and three, viewers were shocked to find out more about Tom’s traumatic childhood.

He was taken from the streets to be trained as a professional assassin.

One eagle-eyed fan poked a hole in season three, episode 23’s dramatic fight scene.

They stated: “When Tom Keen returns from shopping to find someone over the cot of baby Agnus, a fight breaks out, during which the camera jumps to different shots of the baby who is wrapped in a pink blanket, then no blanket, then back to wrapped in the blanket.”

Although this was a huge distraction for a few, the episode was marked by an eccentric ending, featuring Greg Laswell song Dodged a Bullet.

The continuity error is not the only mistake viewers have spotted in the third season.

In episode five, viewers noticed how when Tom is on the phone at the end of the episode, he is holding his phone backwards with the screen away from his ear.

Another fan noticed an error in episode 11, explaining how after arresting the Reddington impostor, “Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) states that while hunting Red they had only one photo with a passing resemblance to the man we’ve been working with.

“In S1E1 you can however see a high-quality picture of Red on the front desk screen while he is arrested.” [Sic]

In the latest season, which came to an end in May 2022, fans noticed a factual error in episode 16.

One viewer said: “Harold tells Raymond he’ll repay the bail money, but given he’s pleading guilty and fully intends to go along with required court appearances, etc, the bail money paid will be refunded – it’s not like Raymond is out-of-pocket.”

New episodes will now be dropping on Sunday nights rather than their usual Friday.

Over in the UK, the series is available on both Sky Go and NOW, meaning The Blacklist is also popular outside the US.

The Blacklist season 10 will air on February 26 on NBC
