The City Of Reno Will Be Staging A Series Of Pop-Up Wedding Altars Ahead Of 2/22/22 Elopements

The city of Reno has recently announced it will be playing into the iconic little-white-chapel Nevada elopement in celebration of the lucky date of February 22, 2022 (2/22/22). The pop-up elopement will be available for anyone and everyone to state their vows or plan a micro-wedding in time for the noteworthy date.

According to horoscope website Sunsigns.org, the number 2/22/22 comes as a “message from the angels that your quest to find balance will soon bear fruits” and that “everything will be okay,” both of which sound like a pretty decent omen to tie to an impending marriage.

To properly celebrate such a noteworthy date, the city has teamed up with local couture event designer Quality Event Design to stage wedding altars around all of the most-loved and photo-worthy spots around the city, including the rushing Truckee River backdrop, the famous Reno arch, as well as a variety of coffee shops and street art locations around the city.

The most unique pop-up elopement in the city? The country’s tallest outdoor climbing wall, the Basecamp Climbing Gym at Whitney Peak Hotel, where lovebirds can actually race to the top of the climbing wall and elope at the top.
