Whether you plan to visit the sights in Rome, indulge in spa and wine in Argentina, or take a starlit hike in Arizona, there are plenty of new hotel openings to make your trip even more exciting. Here’s where to book in 2023:

Six Senses Rome: (March) The Six Senses debut in Rome brings a lush and verdant setting and a wellness-focused hospitality experience to a bustling tourist destination. The hotel’s stunning Notos Rooftop will be home to sunrise yoga sessions and sunset cocktails. Sustainability remains front and center with a focus on sustainable dining menus and the accommodations feature traditional cocciopesto plaster, Travertine limestone, and abundant natural light.

Ambiente (Spring 2023): The long-awaited Sedona, Arizona landscape hotel is finally taking reservations for this coming spring. Rooms are actually standalone, mostly glass-walled “atriums” with private rooftop terraces and fabulous views. The hospitality team is on hand to arrange hikes, wine tastings, hot air balloon rides or jeep tours. Guests will love the organic, seasonal cuisine at the intimate restaurant, Forty1—a true taste of the Verde Valley. Or, unwind and simply order a hand-crafted cocktail poolside and savor the red and ochre mountain vistas.

The Rome EDITION: Expected to open in early 2023, this property will be EDITION Hotels’ first Italian destination. Highlights include the Punch Room Bar (craft cocktails and a rooftop terrace anyone?) as well as a rooftop swimming pool, sleek, spacious hi-tech gym, and two treatment rooms including a couple-massage experience. Modestly sized, it will have 93 guest rooms and suites, including two penthouses each with a private terrace. The central location is an easy short walk to iconic city stops such as Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Borghese Gardens.

Broadwick Soho: Later in 2023 this independent luxury hotel will debut with the first-ever hotel design by Martin Brudnizki. The brainchild of a group of friends who sought to create a unique hideaway in London’s most loved neighborhood. Brudnizki’s interiors promise to be refreshingly original and the 57 room destination will also feature a Sicilian-inspired restaurant and terrace, rooftop lounge, intimate dining room, and speakeasy bar. The residential style guest rooms, including one penthouse and nine suites, are all individually designed, with many rooms offering private balconies and all featuring the finest appointments and amenities.

The Vine House: (open) Kopke Port Wine producer recently opened one of the only winery guest houses in Portugal’s magnificent Douro Valley. Located within the winery’s vineyard, Quinta São Luiz, guests enjoy stunning views, local wines, vineyard walks and a first-hand look at the working life of a winery.

Habitas San Miguel: This new property sits on the outskirts of UNESCO World Heritage site San Miguel de Allende in Mexico and will feature 60 sustainably built, earth-inspired luxury rooms spread across the resort’s stunning landscape. Expect a unique range of program experiences including artist residencies, cultural workshops, film screenings, cooking courses, book clubs, live concerts, and art walks. Guest rooms will be single-bedroom suites with limestone walls, private terraces and gardens and dining will features a gourmet restaurant with farm-to-table cuisine focused on local recipes.

SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites: (recently opened) This is the first hotel offering from Argentina’s renowned female winemaker Susana Balbo and her daughter Ana—but it feels much like a stay in their personal home, albeit with seven lavish spa suites boasting in-room features such as sauna and whirlpool and private garden. Everything has been thoughtfully rendered, from design, décor, and setting to culinary experiences, art, wellness, and nature. Gastronomy and wine are a signature focus with a chef’s table and tasting menu that is reflective of local ingredients.

Atlantis, The Royal: Dubai’s newest property (open early 2023) is a 43-story luxury resort in the heart of the city. The resort has a unique staggered design by Kohn Pederson Fox Associates and features 795 guest rooms and suites with private terraces, pools and of course, breathtaking views of the city skyline and Arabian Gulf. Guests will have access to 17 restaurants and nightlife experiences (including spots by celebrity chefs like Jose Andres and Heston Blumenthal), wellness experiences, and over 90, yes 90, swimming pools—including one on the 22nd floor that will offer panoramic views of Dubai’s famous Palm Island while a DJ spins in the background.

The Global Ambassador, Arizona: (November) Situated in the heart of Arcadia, where Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley converge, this much-anticipated 141-room luxury property will offer guests a stylishly-appointed destination with five unique culinary experiences to explore. The hotel’s highlight is a magnificent 18,000 square-foot rooftop space (featuring one of the largest selections of rose wine in the USA) and offering sweeping views of Camelback Mountain.

The Georgian, Santa Monica, California: (January, 2023) The re-launch of Santa Monica’s iconic hotel, The Georgian, brings 84 guest rooms (with 28 suites), alongside new and refreshed offerings including the famous ocean-view Sunset Terrace, Dining Room, and Sunset Bar. In addition to The Library and gymnasium, The Georgian will also be home to two private meeting and dining spaces.

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts Cayo Levantado Resort plans to start welcoming guests on June 1, 2023. Located on the island of Cayo Levantado, just a few miles away from Samaná Bay, this completely rebranded, and extensively renovated property brings elements of local culture, wellness and sustainability to their five-star all-inclusive resort. The resort will debut 219 guestrooms, from junior suites to the opulent signature villas.
