La Liga starts this Saturday in Salamanca with seven clubs and fifty participants
The I Padel DI Decathlon League of Castilla y León starts this Saturday, March 4, in Salamanca.
The competition of the Federation of Adapted Sports of Castilla y León (Fedeacyl) becomes a pioneering project in the sport of racket, with a unified three-day championship without parallel at the national level.
La Liga, which has the support of Decathlon and the Padel Federation of Castilla y León, will have seven clubs from different provinces of the community and fifty players who will compete in different categories.
The level exhibited by the Fedeacyl athletes in national competitions, even at a normalized level, has promoted a project that was born as a result of the schools of this sport that have been installed in provinces such as Palencia or Salamanca.
Thus, players like Álex González from Avila or Fran Mangas from Salamanca can boast of having several medals at the national level; and dominate the regional championship of this sport, along with other players like Fernando Lagunilla from Palencia.
The Pádel DI Decathlon League starts at the Pádel Time facilities in the charra capital, where from 10:00 a.m. the competition tables will take place, with three levels and several groups. Level I will be made up of the most sporting level players, to be completed with level II and the mixed level.
In Salamanca, the host clubs will be CD Adas, as well as AVIVA, to which CD Duero from Valladolid will join; the CD San Cebrián de Palencia; Asprona Bierzo, from Ponferrada; Virgen de la Vega, from Benavente; and Apadefim from Segovia.
The competition, which also has the collaboration of the Junta de Castilla y León and Full Inclusion Castilla y León, will be completed with the conferences in Ponferrada, on June 9 and 10; and from Benavente, on October 7.
