The Ciudad de Cádiz Sports Complex will host this Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25, the Absolute Spanish Championship for Adapted Swimming Clubs, in which 206 swimmers from 44 clubs from all over the country will participate and who will compete in a total of 801 tests.

Among the participating entities, CD Fusion and CN Palencia will represent Castilla y León at the Cadiz event. In the case of the lynxes, the Paralympians Marta Fernández and Luis Huerta -recently called up by the Spanish team to be at the Manchester World Cup this summer- will lead a team that aspires to sneak into the top of the medal table.

To the possible individual medals of the two Paralympic swimmers is added the possibilities of the Fusion in the relay events, as well as the good work of swimmers like David Cubillas from Leon; or the deaf athletes Álvaro de Frutos and Elsa Cuadrado.

In addition to results, medals and personal bests, it is worth noting the debut of the young Yasser del Bosque, who achieved the minimum to be in this Absolute.

The full call will be made up of Álvaro de Frutos, Elsa Cuadrado, Ángela Esteban, Celia López, Jésus Catalina, Alejandro Matesanz, David Cubillas, Luis Huerta, Julia Campo, Unai Hontiyuelo, Marta Fernández, Petar Ivaylov and Yasser del Bosque.

Along with the lynx club, in Cádiz there will also be CN Palencia, which will be represented by the young swimmer Marco Pérez, returning to the national pools after his tour of the United States.
