The Game has shared his thoughts on other cultures “rapping along” to hip-hop “word for word” without fully grasping the realities of the lyrical content.

On Monday, he reposted a note shared by YG on his Instagram Stories. “These n****z love 2 sing the songs and party along to the music but as soon as they find out the lyrics in these raps is real they wanna act like scared lil bitches,” YG wrote. “Don’t get scared now keep dance’n pussy!”

After YG shared the post, Hollywood Unlocked shared The Game’s repost of the message and his corresponding comments. “Y’all ‘commenters’ be miserable af,” he wrote. “It’s clearly a repost from YG n it’s about other races rapping along to the culture word for word but get scared when it comes to life. … Now gone bout y’all miserable ass lives n don’t forget to flip the mattress so the bed bugs can tan.”

The Game and YG’s comments come not long after Jack Harlow sparked a conversation with his track “Common Ground,” in which he critiqued whiteness in hip-hop. The song sees the rapper address how white hip-hop fans have become cultural tourists and appropriators, showcasing their privilege without acknowledging it. For what it’s worth, The Game reposted Harlow’s Instagram post about the video for the song “They Don’t Love It,” which appears alongside “Common Ground” on his new studio album Jackman.

It’s unclear what prompted YG and The Game’s comments, but it’s clear the latter is feeling Harlow’s latest release.
