The Gathering Of The Greats’ Ferrari Edition: Legends Set To Take The Stage At The Chattanooga Motorcar Festival

Celebrating its third year, the Annual Chattanooga Motorcar Festival is set to come back even stronger with a head- turning cast of Ferrari Supercars. As part of The Gathering of the Greats- Ferrari Edition, the supercars will provide an exclusive window into the brand’s history and are expected to draw Ferrari enthusiasts from around the country. The festival begins today, October 14th through to the 16th, with the event’s anticipated Concours d’ Elegance taking place on Sunday.

Featured vehicles range from models dating to the 1950’s, complemented by 21st century counterparts. Two of the eighteen vehicles included are the only models of their kind, while nine are part of 100- vehicle editions. The Ferrari Supercars featured are “halo” examples that illustrate the brand’s continued innovation and dedication to pushing the boundaries of both technology and luxury. Rarely showcased side by side, the four supercars will be an event highlight that underlines the festival’s 2022 expansion.

Collectively, the cars have years of Concours d’ Elegance event experience, along with individual backstories that will be told during Sunday’s docent-led tour. To understand the caliber of the vehicles being shown, consider Kevin Cogan’s 2003 Ferrari Enzo and Jud Dayton’s 1960 Ferrari 250 GT- nearly five decades apart, the two models will share the stage to represent the legendary brand in Tennessee.

Chosen by festival curator Steve Ahlgrim, the Ferraris will be displayed on a custom-built field throughout the day on Sunday, where attendees will be able to not only view the vehicles, but also meet their proud owners- many of whom should have stories and anecdotes to share. Those who want to catch a glimpse of the stars of the show even earlier can witness some of the vehicles being driven from the Westin Chattanooga Hotel to the Pace Grand Prix at the Bend. There, the cars will partake in a parade session before taking the stage the next day at Sunday’s Concours d’ Elegance.

Returning better than ever, this year’s Chattanooga Motorcar Festival promises an action-packed weekend defined by Ferrari’s undeniable allure, worldwide reputation and rare vehicle models. In a rare appearance outside of private collections, the vehicles showcased at the Gathering of the Greats will offer insight into half a century of automotive history, especially when seen up close and personal.
