Hidden cameras are rare but unfortunately some tourists have found the items in their holiday homes.
Airbnb doesn’t allow hosts to have cameras in public spaces unless they are disclosed to guests.
It says: “Any device monitoring a common space should be installed in a visible manner and disclosed in the listing description.
“Devices should never monitor private spaces (eg.bedrooms, bathrooms or common areas that are being used as sleeping areas, such as a living room with a sofa bed).
