The Last Of Us Part 1: All Firefly Pendant Locations

The post-apocalyptic world of The Last Of Us is rich with fascinating details and collectibles. Among them are the Firefly pendants, of which there are 30 to be found throughout the game’s story. While you may stumble upon some of these pendants during your playthrough, collecting them all requires a thorough search of every corner of the game world. Fortunately, this guide compiles the locations of all 30 Firefly pendants in The Last of Us: Part 1, complete with detailed directions and helpful images to aid in your quest.

A helpful tip to locate the hard-to-spot Firefly pendants is to use your flashlight to spot them. The pendants will reflect the light, making them easier to see. Alternatively, you can also turn on the high contrast mode to make it easier to spot and collect the pendants.

Quarantine Zone – Prologue

There are three Firefly pendants to be found and collected in the Quarantine Zone chapter.

Firefly Pendant 1: The first Firefly pendant can be found inside of a building after climbing a ladder into a room with a pool table. Take a right into the next room, where you’ll see two blue mattresses on the floor and the Firefly logo on the adjacent wall. The pendant is located to the left of these mattresses.

Firefly Pendant 2: After you help Tess cross a gap using a plank, follow her into an alleyway where you need to crouch to exit. As you exit the alley, you will notice a tree in the immediate area with the pendant hanging from one of its branches. This pendant can be challenging to spot, but you can easily locate it using your flashlight. Shoot the pendant to knock it down and pick it up from the ground.

Firefly Pendant 3: The third Firefly pendant is found when you meet up with Marlene and unite with Ellie. Follow the path through the slums until you come across a dead infected against a green box with a red box next to it. Approach the infected to spot a Firefly pendant next to it.

The Outskirts – Downtown

A total of four Firefly pendants are waiting to be discovered in the Outskirts – Downtown area.

Firefly Pendant 1: After passing through the highway and reaching a spot where the game presents you with an L3 prompt to look at the Capital, head right, and go under the rubble into an open courtyard. You will find yet another tree with a Firefly pendant hanging from one of its branches. You can either shoot the pendant or use a brick or a bottle to knock it down.

Firefly Pendant 2: As you explore and make your way through the museum, you will come across a ramp leading you to the next floor. As you reach the top of the ramp, take a left and climb up onto the ledge and keep shimmying along until you reach a display case. The firefly pendant is inside that display case.

Firefly Pendant 3: Once you’re at the capitol building area, look for a gazebo-like structure to your left and enter it. From there, look for a prompt that will allow you to pick up the submerged firefly pendant.

Firefly Pendant 4: After exiting the Capitol building and navigating through a flooded subway, you’ll notice Ellie walking up a platform. Climb the platform, and on your left, you’ll spot a tunnel. Dive into the tunnel and swim straight until you reach a storage room. Enter the room to collect some scraps and a Firefly pendant from the shelves.

Bill’s Town

Three Firefly pendants are waiting to be found and collected in Bill’s Town.

Firefly Pendant 1: As you explore Bill’s Town, you will come across the main road, which has many crashed cars and a white RV at the end. There is a cop car next to the RV that you can use to climb up and pick up your first Firefly pendant in Bill’s Town.

Firefly Pendant 2: After exiting the safe house with Bill, you will encounter a pack of runners and clickers. Once you have dealt with them, look for an ambulance and walk up to it. Then, look up to your right to spot a Firefly pendant hanging from a light post. Use a brick or a bottle, or just shoot the pendant to knock it down.

Firefly Pendant 3: After exiting the graveyard, you will come across another area filled with runners and clickers. Make your way slowly through the infected until you reach a red house. Turn right and enter the house to find a bathroom, where you can find the third Firefly pendant on the floor.

In the Pittsburgh area, three Firefly pendants are waiting to be discovered.

Firefly Pendant 1: To find your first Firefly pendant, enter the Fedra military-controlled quarantine zone and kill the three hunters patrolling the zone. To your right is a bookstore and just to the left of the bookstore is an alleyway. Make your way to the end of the alley to find the first Firefly pendant behind a container.

Firefly Pendant 2: The second Firefly pendant can be found once you’re in the hotel lobby area. As you drop from the stairs, go straight and look for the women’s restroom to your left, enter the restroom and go to the last toilet to pick up the second Firefly pendant from the floor.

Firefly Pendant 3: The third Firefly pendant can be found after you meet up with Henry and Sam. As you follow Henry and enter a house with a set of red metal stairs, look to your left to find a restroom. Enter the restroom, and go to the very end to pick up the Firefly pendant from the toilet seat.

The Suburbs

A total of four Firefly pendants can be discovered and collected in The Suburbs area.

Firefly Pendant 1: Follow Henry and Sam along the shore until you come across a wrecked boat. Climb aboard and, to your right, you’ll find a short drop into the boat. Look on the floor to your left to find and pick up the Firefly pendant.

Firefly Pendant 2: Once you enter the sewer, you’ll find the second Firefly pendant at the beginning. Look to your right for an aqueduct-like opening. Climb up the opening and cross it until you reach another room. On your left, you’ll see the second Firefly pendant hanging from a decaying human hand.

Firefly Pendant 3: The third Firefly pendant can be found in the puzzle area where Joel helps Ellie, Sam, and Henry cross a flooded area. To your left, you’ll see a blue car partially submerged in the water. Dive into the water to locate the Firefly pendant near the car.

Firefly Pendant 4: As you exit the sewers and reach the streets, start exploring the houses in the area. Follow the street until you come across a white house with red graffiti. To the right of the house, there’s a backyard with a tree. You’ll find the fourth Firefly pendant hanging from one of the branches.

Hydroelectric Dam

The Hydroelectric Dam area contains two Firefly pendants waiting to be found.

Firefly Pendant 1: After meeting up with Tommy, you’ll enter a hydroelectric dam and reach the control room. Head outside the control room and go down the metal stairs to reach a room with blue turbines. Between the two turbines, you’ll find the pendant.

Firefly Pendant 2: The second Firefly pendant can be found when Joel and Tommy go searching for Ellie in a ranch house. Enter the house and head towards the fireplace area. The pendant is on a table to the left.

The University

A total of five Firefly pendants are waiting to be discovered and collected in The University section.

Firefly Pendant 1: While exploring the University area, keep an eye out for a red building with a large banner that says “Welcome Back Bighorn.” Head straight through the arched structures, then turn right. Once you’re in the area with a few trees, look for a specific tree at the end of the open space. You’ll find a Firefly pendant hanging on one of its branches. To retrieve it, you can either shoot the pendant or knock it down with a brick or bottle.

Firefly Pendant 2: As you explore the University area further, you’ll need to cross over a fenced barricade to enter a new area. Just before you cross the barricade, stop and turn right. You’ll see a blue dumpster nearby that you can climb up to reach the second floor of the building. Turn right again and look for a Firefly pendant on a table next to a window.

Firefly Pendant 3: The third Firefly pendant is a bit different from the others, as you’ll need to defeat a bloater to collect it. The bloater is located inside the university, surrounded by infected. The quickest way to take down the bloater is by using a shotgun, but be mindful of the other infected in the area that may be alerted by the noise. It’s best to eliminate the clickers and runners first before attempting to engage the bloater.

Firefly Pendant 4: Before entering the science building, you’ll see a few white tents set up outside. Make your way to the rightmost tent and collect the Firefly pendant that’s sitting on the desk inside.

Firefly Pendant 5: The last Firefly pendant in the University is located inside the room where you encounter the monkeys. Head to the rightmost corner of the room and look for the pendant sitting on a desk.

Lakeside Resort

There are two Firefly pendants to collect in the Lakeside Resort area of the game.

Firefly Pendant 1: The first Firefly pendant in the Lakeside Resort chapter can be easily acquired while playing as Ellie. Simply go to your inventory and inspect Riley’s pendant to collect the first pendant for this chapter.

Firefly Pendant 2: After the horse chase, you’ll lose your horse and make your way into the lakeside resort. As you navigate through the resort, keep an eye out for a gazebo on your right-hand side. You’ll spot a Firefly pendant sitting on a bench inside the gazebo.

Bus Depot

In the Bus Depot chapter, a total of three Firefly pendants can be found and collected.

Firefly Pendant 1: To find the first Firefly pendant, take the exit ramp and then turn left from the blue car. Make your way around the crashed pickup truck to find the pendant behind the traffic cones.

Firefly Pendant 2: To find the next Firefly pendant, continue playing until after the giraffe encounter and exit the building. You’ll find yourself in an area that resembles a gas station, with medical tents to the left. Head to the furthest tent and look for a lighting structure. The pendant is hanging from the structure, and you can either shoot it down or knock it down using a throwable like a brick or a bottle.

Firefly Pendant 3: To find the third Firefly pendant, continue moving straight after you make your way through the bus and are about to enter the underground tunnel. At the start of the tunnel, instead of going straight ahead, look for a blue bus off to the side. Circle around the bus to find the pendant.

Located in the final chapter of the game, the Firefly Lab is where you can find the last Firefly pendant.

Firefly Pendant 1: To find the Firefly pendant, go to the sixth floor of the hospital. In the reception area, look for a shiv door with a poster that says “Clean Hands Save Lives”. Open the door, and to your immediate right, you’ll see the Firefly pendant on the desk.
