‘The Last Of Us’ has become the biggest breakout new show of the year, with the buzz around it increasing week-on-week.

No official plot has been released but from the look of the images and the trailer for the episode, it looks like viewers are jumping back in time to find out more about Ellie (Bella Ramsey) before she met Joel (Pedro Pascal). In the trailer we see Ellie with another girl, Riley (Storm Reid), as they head to a deserted mall. It doesn’t look like it’s long before they encounter the Infected.

It would also look like viewers aren’t going to find out Joel’s fate. At the end of episode 6, ‘Kin’, Joel was seriously wounded after being attacked by raiders at what used to be the Fireflies base. Even though the pair managed to get away on horse back, Joel was left lifeless in Ellie’s arms. Surely he’s not dead?
‘The Last Of Us’ airs at 2am on Monday 27th February 2023 on Sky Atlantic. If you don’t want to stay up that late, you can catch the 9pm re-run. The show airs on HBO in the US.
