The new two-minute-and-36-second trailer highlights the epic expanse of Middle-earth in its Second Age, and reveals how Tolkien’s legendary and beloved characters will come together against all odds and across great distances to guard against the feared reemergence of evil to Middle-earth. Fates collide and disparate characters are tested in the face of impending evil in this glimpse into the long-awaited new series.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power final trailer releases ahead of series premiere
The trailer features key cast members Galadriel played by Morfydd Clark, Elrond played by Robert Aramayo, High King Gil-galad played by Benjamin Walker, and Celebrimbor played by Charles Edwards among others. The other characters also include Harfoots Elanor “Nori” Brandyfoot played by Markella Kavenagh and Largo Brandyfoot played by Dylan Smith along with Númenóreans Isildur played by Maxim Baldry, Eärien played by Ema Horvath, Elendil played by Lloyd Owen, Pharazôn played by Trystan Gravelle, and Queen Regent Míriel played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson.
Peter Mullan, Owain Arthur, and Sophia Nomvete, Charlie Vickers, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismael Cruz Córdova, and Daniel Weyman also are a part of this extensive star cast. The first two episodes of the multi-season drama will launch on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on Friday, September 1 or 2, depending on the time zone, with new episodes available weekly.
