Christmas Tree Re-Imagined

The property just unveiled an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind art Christmas tree, created by the famed Thai artist Pin — Saruta Kiatparkpoom (PiN Metal Art). Pin’s unique art style reincarnates metal and repurposes what people consider to be waste.

With sustainability and the season’s spirit in mind, this custom-made Christmas tree draws inspiration from the Thai Bai Sri, a sacred element in Thai culture that is part of a blessing ceremony performed to bestow happiness and prosperity to a person or a place. The Thai Bai Sri is traditionally made from banana leaves woven into three levels representing the three steadfast moral principles that society must embrace: the right physical, verbal and mental behavior.

The tiered structure, similar to that of a traditional Christmas tree, is created with variations of lamps to illuminate its surrounds with joyous holiday sparkles. The Christmas Re-Imagined will be on display at the lobby of Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok from now until January 3, 2023.

Throughout December, to share the spirit of the happiest month of the year, CRAFT serves up freshly made sweets including the festive chocolate, Christmas-spiced fruit cheesecake, yule log, rocky road bark, spiced red velvet cake roll.

For the perfect caffeinated festive blends, there is the indulgent butterscotch macchiato with almond milk, butterscotch syrup, whipped cream, marshmallow and tonka bean, or for the ultimate winter drink, the pumpkin spice latte.

Buone Feste Dining At Ms. Jigger

Ms. Jigger presents limited-time Italian specialties and Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve five-course set dinners this festive season. Chef Davide Calo presents his Christmas a la carte signatures from 23 December 2022 until 1 January 2023, including ravioli filled with foie gras served with parmesan foam and strawberry sauce, Paccheri pasta with monkfish ragout, venison tenderloin, Wagyu T-bone steak, salted and baked seabream and more.

Guests can also choose to pair the delectable meals with a four-glass wine pairing, including Ms. Jigger’s signature cocktails; Siam Milk Punch and Bangkok, as well as the holiday special cocktail, Bonbon.
