The Major Trends From The Paris Couture Catwalks To The Designer Studios

The July Paris Couture Shows featured opulent statement pieces that sparkled in diamonds and gemstones and glimmered in gold. There was a fantasy feel to the jewels that were sometimes outsized for effect. Motifs from celestial to botanical showed up in different variations. Earrings took center catwalk in long sweeping chandelier styles, and more wearable linear gemstone looks. The feeling was a return to the glamorous and sometimes tongue-in-cheek styles that have created trends and broken molds and elevated the familiar into fabulous inspirational jewelry.
