He Celta Vigo reported this Monday that it has reached an agreement with the cougarsa team led by former sky-blue coach Antonio ‘El Turco’ Mohamed, for the transfer of the Uruguayan striker Toro Fernandez to the Mexican team, which will pay 4 millions euros for his signing.
The Uruguayan attacker arrived in Balaídos in the summer of 2019 from the Penarol to make up for the loss of his compatriot maxi gomez, transferred to Valencia. However, Toro Fernández barely had opportunities in his first season at Celta de Vigo (554 minutes and one goal) and the following year he went on loan to Saragossa in Second Division.
After passing through the Aragonese team, the Uruguayan striker returned to leave on loan to juarez, in which he played the last seasons. In the Mexican championship, he played 47 games and signed 12 goals.
