The courts of the Club Conde Jackson Tennis Maspalomas experienced an exciting day of tennis this Wednesday in which the players have fought for a place in the round of 32. Five Spanish women remain firm in the singles main draw, they are Irene Burillo, Leyre Romero, Rosa Vicens, Lucía Cortez and Ángela Fita.
In doubles, the only Canarian in the tournament remains, Marta García Reboredo.

The tournament favourite, Netherlands player Arantxa Rus made her singles debut with a resounding 6/0 6/2 victory against Natalia Szabanin. Three Spaniards, the Aragonese Irene Burillo and the Valencians Leyre Romero and Ángela Fita have also secured their place today with victories against the Indian Rutuja Bhosale, the Italian Diletta Cherubini and the Norwegian Lilly Haseth.
They thus join Rosa Vicens and Lucía Cortezwho got their pass to sixteenths yesterday, Tuesday.
