The Night Manager 2 press conference: Aditya Roy Kapur gives his best wishes to Kartik Aaryan’s Aashiqui 3; Anil Kapoor jokes “Aashiqui 4 mere saath ban rahi hai” : Bollywood News – Bollywood Hungama

Aditya Roy Kapur began his career with supporting roles in films like London Dreams (2009), Action Replayy (2010) and Guzaarish (2010). But it was Aashiqui 2 (2013) that made him a household name and also the heartthrob of the nation. Co-starring Shraddha Kapoor, this Mohit Suri-musical was a blockbuster and was loved for its plot, music and the performances by the leading actors. Aashiqui 2 was released more than 10 years ago and Aditya has worked in several films since then. Yet, he continues to be fondly remembered for his work in this Mukesh Bhatt production.

Last year, it was announced that T-Series and Vishesh Films will be making Aashiqui 3, starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead. The much-awaited film will be directed by Anurag Basu. Today, at the press conference of The Night Manager Season 2, Aditya Roy Kapur was asked about Aashiqui 3 and whether his character Rahul Jaykar can return in the third part.

Aditya Roy Kapur raised laughs as he said that it was not possible since Rahul jumps off a bridge over the sea and kills himself in the climax. Aditya replied, “When I first heard of Aashiqui 3, many people asked me if I wanted to be a part of it. But at the end of the second part, I took a long swim (laughs)! So, I don’t think the character can return for the third part.”

He continued, “From whatever I am hearing, they are putting together a great team. As a film watcher, I am really looking forward to seeing what they do with the next part. I am sure they’ll do a great job.”

Aditya Roy Kapur’s evergreen co-actor in The Night Manager Season 2, Anil Kapoor, who was also present at the press conference, took the mic and quipped, “Aashiqui 4 mere saath ban rahi hai, by the way!”

The Night Manager’s first season premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on February 17 this year. The second season will drop on the streaming giant on June 30. Besides Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor, the series also stars Sobhita Dhulipala and Tillotama Shome.
